Critical Deadlines
The internship application form must be completed and submitted to the department no later than May 1. This rule applies to the mandatory pre-process and will not be relaxed.
After the internship ends, all required observation pages, comment or evaluation pages, and the final company evaluation page must be fully signed and stamped by the authorized company official.
Mandatory Pre-Process For All Students
- Second and third year students must complete the Internship Preliminary Information Form before May 1.
- Students who will intern in summer and want university-paid insurance must enter their details through OIS / Uygulamali Egitim.
- Students doing remote or overseas internships where the university does not pay insurance should complete only the Excel form and must not submit OIS insurance entry.
General Rules And Regulation
- There are 2 mandatory internships: 30 working days after year 2 and 30 working days after year 3. Total requirement is 60 working days.
- For university-paid SGK insurance, the internship must be completed in summer, outside classes, exams, and official holidays, as one uninterrupted 30-day period.
- Internships must be related to technology, software, games, or artificial intelligence.
- The internship notebook must be fully completed and officially approved with stamp/seal and wet signature.
Turkish Students
- Finding the internship place is completely the student's responsibility.
- Students may complete internships abroad or remotely even before the end of year 2.
- In self-funded or remote cases, university insurance is not required, but the notebook and official wet-signed approvals are still mandatory.
- Students who want in-semester or early internships must cover insurance privately unless they are in the formal summer insurance period.
International Students And e-Muafiyet
Because of work permit procedures in Türkiye, international students are strongly advised to complete their internships in their home countries or outside Türkiye, either physically or remotely. If they want to intern in Türkiye, these rules apply:
- e-Muafiyet is mandatory. No student may start the internship or receive insurance entry before approval is completed.
- Applications must be submitted through the e-Muafiyet system.
- Use category 1) Egitim Sektoru ve Staj -> Zorunlu Staja Tabi Ogrenci (n).
- Required data: SGK Registration No 28412030311044160340536000, Gross Wage 33.030 TL, signed OIS contract, and compulsory internship certificate.
- After approval, the approval screen or approval letter must be sent to uygulamaliegitimler@kent.edu.tr.
- If the process includes workplace professional training, exemption approval is still required.
Submission Checklist
Before Internship
- Complete the Excel preliminary information form before May 1.
- Submit OIS internship information if university insurance will be used.
- Fill out the internship form completely.
- Deliver the paperwork to the department on time.
After Internship
- All observation pages must be complete.
- All evaluation and comment pages must be complete.
- The final company evaluation page must be completed.
- Every required page must be signed and stamped by the authorized company official.
